Kay Rentzel serves as the Executive Director for the US Sweet Potato Council. The Council has a consistent, meaningful, and strong voice on regulations and policy impacting agriculture. Their members take tremendous pride in feeding America and providing the world the safest food source available.
Additionally, she works with the American Sweet Potato Marketing Institute and the National Clean Plant Network. Rentzel serves as on the USDA Agricultural Trade Advisory Committee for fruits and vegetables, on relevancy review panels for the US Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food & Agriculture, and various National Stakeholder Advisory Committees which direct research and resources to areas that will improve the quality of food produced.
